The 14-mile stretch will be completed in segments, with two lanes open and two lanes closed around-the-clock. During off-peak hours, overnights and weekends, stretches of M-102 may be reduced to a single lane to accelerate resurfacing efforts. Initial work will begin on the west end of the project limits near the M-10 interchange. In addition to resurfacing the travel lanes, median turn lanes will be repaired. In order to meet new Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines, approximately 800 sidewalk curbs will be upgraded within the project limits. The resurfacing is expected to be completed in early November. Sidewalk ramp upgrades will be finished in May 2009. |
