MI DEQ Awards Earth Day Poster Contest Winners

Lansing, MI - At an Earth Day celebration in Lansing April 22, 2014, DEQ officials honored 12 Michigan school children for outstanding work in the department’s annual Earth Day poster contest.

The contest has raised environmental awareness among K-5 students around the state by giving them an opportunity to design what they think Earth Day is all about.

This year, more than 3,000 posters were submitted. Students from across the state of Michigan have shown us once again what they love about our environment. Participant posters will be decorating the walls of Constitution Hall during Earth Day and a ceremony will take place for the 12 winners.
