Macomb County To Host Small Business Financing Forum

Mt. Clemens, MI - Michigan’s economy is on the rebound. For existing businesses, this may mean customers are demanding more services or products, that a need to invest in more inventory or equipment is justified or that the time has come to take a risk and introduce a new product line.

For many businesses, these new opportunities require outside capital to keep moving forward, and traditional bank financing may seem like the only option available. However, depending on circumstances and specific need, there may be other opportunities.

To provide an overview of what is available, the Macomb County Department of Planning and Economic Development will host a Small Business Financing Forum from noon to 2 p.m. on Nov. 14 at Velocity Collaboration Center, 6633 18 Mile Road in Sterling Heights, featuring a number of subject matter experts:

Topic / Organization
Conventional Bank Lending / Huntington Bank
Guaranteed loans and other programs / U.S. Small Business Administration
Asset-based financing, equipment financing / Hennessey Capital
Assorted tools including Collateral Support Program / Michigan Economic Development Corporation
Grow Michigan / Grow Michigan
Seed capital and angel investors / Macomb-Oakland University INCubator

There is no charge for this event. A complimentary lunch will be provided to everyone who pre-registers by Nov. 5. Please e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call (586) 469-5285.
