Nighttime Lane Closures On I-75 In Oakland County Announced Print E-mail
Saturday, 11 August 2007
Metro Detroit Traffic NewsLansing, MI - Beginning Monday, Aug. 13, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will begin preparations for scheduled maintenance and repair work on 26 bridges over I-75 in Oakland County.

The work will result in nighttime lane closures on I-75 from Eight Mile Road to I-696 in Hazel Park.

This project is a multi-stage project with the first two stages scheduled for completion this fall. Beginning Aug. 20, crews will start the first stage and close five bridges from Meyers Avenue to the Nine Mile Road turnaround bridge. As these bridges close, local traffic will be detoured around the closed bridges.

These bridges will receive superstructure and substructure repair, beam repair, new deck joints and pavement overlays. This project is a $17 million investment in the safety of Metro Detroit bridges.
