Metro Detroit Traffic NewsDetroit, MI - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is now podcasting information about weekend road construction in the Metro Detroit area.

The podcasts will contain construction updates to assist weekend travelers on all Metro Region state-owned roadways. The Metro Region covers Wayne, Oakland, Macomb and St. Clair counties.
 
The podcasts were created to assist the growing population of motorists who use this new technology to obtain information. Digital media files can be downloaded to your computer and then transferred to an iPod or any other type of MP3 player.
 
The Metro Region podcasts can be found on the new MI Drive Web site, www.michigan.gov/drive under the Construction and Traffic link. The podcast will allow motorists to plug-and-play updated construction information for weekend closures and other travel restrictions. Each week, podcasts will be available for download on Thursday afternoon or early Friday morning.
