Detroit, MI - On-going bridge repairs along I-94 in the city of Detroit will require traffic changes beginning next week.
Prior to closing the right-lane and subsequent ramps from I-75, crews will remove the existing left-lane closure. Two through lanes will remain available on westbound I-94 during peak travel periods. Detours for the ramp closures will be posted as follows: Southbound I-75 to westbound I-94 traffic will use westbound M-8 (Davison Freeway) to southbound M-10 (Lodge Freeway) to westbound I-94. Traffic entering southbound I-75, south of the Davison Freeway interchange, will follow southbound I-75 (Chrysler Freeway) to southbound I-75 (Fisher Freeway) to northbound M-10 to westbound I-94. Northbound I-75 traffic will continue north past I-94 to westbound M-8 to southbound M-10 to westbound I-94. Once the right-lane closure goes into effect, westbound I-94 traffic will still be able to access the ramps to northbound and southbound I-75. Eastbound I-94 restrictions will remain the same, with a left-lane closure from M-10 to French Road. The I-75 ramps to westbound I-94 are expected to open by midnight on Wednesday, Nov. 7. |
