Detroit, MI - An estimated 20 City of Detroit Recreation Department lifeguards and swimmers will swim from the Belle Isle beach to Henderson Marina and back at the 17th Annual River Swim on Saturday, Aug. 2 at 8:30 a.m.

“The Detroit Recreation Department is proud to showcase lifeguards who have the ability and courage to take on such a task,” said Detroit Recreation Department Director Lawrence C. Hemingway.
