The Derby is free; however, contestants must furnish their own equipment, natural bait, and be accompanied by an adult.  The Derby is divided into morning and afternoon sessions. Each session will consist of the first 500 youth registered.  Morning session registration is at 9 a.m., and derby time is from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  Afternoon session registration is at noon, and the derby time is from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Prizes will be awarded at the end of each session.

Volunteers are needed to assist with the event.  Sporting organizations, fraternal and community associations and corporations are encouraged to participate.
