Metro Detroit Health NewsMt. Clemens, MI - Support is available for friends and family members of adults who have Alzheimer’s disease or a dementia-related illness.

The Macomb County Dementia Education and Discussion Group meets from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the fourth Thursday each month at the Southeast Health Center Auditorium, 25401 Harper Ave., St. Clair Shores. The next meeting is Jan. 24.

This free support group gives people time to share problems, gain information and find support they may need in caring for an adult with Alzheimer’s disease or a dementia-related illness.

For more information or to register, call 586-466-4026. Supervised Adult Care is available for $10 during the meetings with pre-registration.

This program is sponsored by the Macomb County Department of Senior Citizen Services Adult Day Service Program and the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Michigan Chapter.
