Medicare Prescription Advice Available For Macomb County Seniors Print E-mail

Metro Detroit Community NewsMt. Clemens, MI - Macomb County seniors wondering what to do during the open enrollment period for the Medicare prescription drug program can get expert advice from the Senior Citizen Services Department.

Beginning Oct. 31, senior citizens not signed up for a Medicare Part D prescription plan, or those considering a different plan, can make an appointment to get personal advice about their options, and assistance with the computerized enrollment system.

Appointments can be made on Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays through Dec. 14 by calling Macomb County Senior Citizen Services at 586-466-8725 or 586-466-4545 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The Medicare open enrollment period is Nov. 15 through Dec. 31.

Medicare D program information, new enrollment or changes to current enrollment also can be made online at www.medicare.gov.
