Mt. Clemens, MI - Adults may learn lifesaving tips on how to survive various disasters, how to make their home safer and children may get a kick out of seeing emergency response vehicles up close at an all-day emergency preparedness event.

Macomb County Emergency Management and a host of other organizations will have informational stations throughout the mall. Representatives will be there to talk about surviving disasters, such as floods, snowstorms, blackouts, hazardous chemical spills and more for homes, businesses or schools.

In the parking lot on the north side of the mall, between Sears and The Olive Garden, there will be emergency response vehicles on display. Children can have the chance to see a fire truck, police car, ambulance and several other vehicles.

Some of the participating organizations will be Macomb County’s Office of Emergency Management, the Macomb Sheriff’s Department, Macomb Health Department and the Macomb Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Services; Beaumont Hospital, the Salvation Army, MedStar Ambulance, Lakeside Mall Security and many local fire departments.
