Commissioner Parker To Host Party At Balduck Park

Detroit, MI - In conjunction with the ARISE Detroit! organization’s city-wide Neighborhoods Day, Wayne County Commissioner Bernard Parker will host a “Party in the Park” at Balduck Park on Saturday, August 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The festivities will include rides and activities for children, live entertainment, free health immunizations, free refreshments and information booths. Balduck Park is located off of Chandler Park Drive at the corner of Canyon.

“This is an opportunity for the eastside to reconnect families, people and neighborhoods,” said Commissioner Parker. “It will be a day of fun and fellowship.”

Several organizations are partnering to make the Balduck Park gathering possible.

Commissioner Parker commended the Jefferson East Business Association, P.L.U.S., East English Village, D.A.R.E., U-SNAP-BAC, Yorkshire Woods and the Detroit Police Department’s Eastern District for partnering with him on the event.

ARISE Detroit! is a coalition of 200 non-profit, church and business groups that are collaborating to improve the quality of life in Detroit. The organization is coordinating similar events around the City on August 4.
