Camp KAT Puts The Fun In Fund Raiser Print E-mail

Metro Detroit Community NewsDetroit, MI - The Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit will host Camp Kids All Together (KAT) - A Day of Family Fun to Benefit Children with Special Needs, on Sunday, March 2 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Center's West Bloomfield building, 6600 West Maple.

The event will feature a variety of entertainment and activities for people of all ages. Festivities include:

. Dancing and Music by Star Trax DJs (West Bloomfield)
. Karaoke and Video Game area with Dance, Dance Revolution, Guitar Hero, Wii games and more
. Meet & Greets with Clifford the Big Red Dog courtesy of Ta-Dah! Productions (Huntington Woods); Sparty (Michigan State University mascot), Hooper (Detroit Pistons mascot), and Paws (Detroit Tigers mascot)
. Sports areas including: JCC Summer Day Camps gymnastics obstacle course, rock-climbing wall, giant slide, inflatables, velcro wall, toddler gym, basketball, baseball challenge, golf lessons and slot car races
. Wax hands, face painting, and arts and crafts provided by the JCC Summer Day Camp
. Live Magic and Reptile Shows
. Family friendly nut-free food throughout the event provided by the Matt Prentice Restaurant Group Milk and Honey Restaurant (West Bloomfield/Bingham Farms).

The event is open to the public. Tickets are $25 per person in advance, and $30 at the door. Children under 2 are free. Tickets are available at the Jewish Community Center in West Bloomfield or by calling Ann Patronik, special needs director, 248-432-5460 or visit www.jccdet.org.

Camp KAT proceeds benefit Metro Detroit area children of all backgrounds with special needs by through inclusion programs within the Jewish Community Center's Pitt Child Development Center and summer day camp.
