Branch offices are providing information for residents interested in learning about the campaign or volunteering.  They are displaying posters and also have cards for prospective volunteers to fill out, as well newsletters with Angles’ Night articles.

“The continued support of our Angels’ Night campaign by Secretary Land and the employees at our local Secretary of State offices is greatly appreciated,” said Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick.  “The participation of everyone in our community has made Angels’ Night the largest and most successful volunteer campaign in the country.”

People can participate by adopting vacant buildings to help prevent arson, working with organizations to patrol neighborhoods and turning on porch lights to deter destructive behavior.  Residents are encouraged to call 911 to report anything irregular.
