Wednesday, 10 October 2007
Metro Detroit Business NewsDetroit, MI - Registration is now open for a history-making session of 5-Minute Networking, which will take place Oct. 23, 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., aboard the Detroit People Mover in Downtown Detroit.

This one-of-a- kind event marks the first time 5-Minute Networking has gone mobile anywhere in the world.

Sixty participants will mix and mingle at five different People Mover stations across Downtown Detroit. Some participants will ride the train, moving from station to station, while others will remain stationary, waiting for new networkers to arrive at their station. Making new business contacts and leads has never been more easy and fun!

Free parking, compliments of Hard Rock Cafe, will be available at the Compuware Headquarters garage. Attendees are instructed to meet at the Hard Rock Cafe for registration and open networking before the event. Additional networking opportunities will be available at a post-event reception at Hard Rock Café. Complimentary appetizers and a cash bar will be on hand after the 5-Minute Networking experience for attendees.

The cost to participate is $30 for Detroit Regional Chamber members, $50 for nonmembers. Pre-registration is required. For more information or to register, please visit http://www.detroitchamber.com/events.

About 5-Minute Networking
The program, designed similar to speed dating, helps business professionals network and create new leads. Participants experience the efficiency of 5 minute, one-on-one meetings with potential clients from targeted industries, chosen by each participant. The best part - software used in the program guarantees networkers will never meet the same person twice; no matter how many 5-Minute Networking sessions they attended.

About the Detroit Regional Chamber
With nearly 23,000 members, the Detroit Regional Chamber is the largest chamber of commerce in the country. The Chamber's mission is carried out through business attraction efforts, public policy advocacy, strategic partnerships and quality products and services for members.
