Metro Detroit Entertainment NewsRoyal Oak, MI - The weather may be summer-like, but the calendar says fall is here.  The Detroit Zoo is celebrating the change of seasons with the second annual Fall Festival Saturday and Sunday, October 4 and 5, 2008.

Music fills the air both days with blues artist Pete “Big Dog” Fetters performing on Saturday and folk/rock band Jill Jack performing on Sunday.

A fun-filled children’s activity area includes arts and crafts, a giant inflatable slide, moonwalk, straw maze, pumpkin painting and face painting.  Admission to the children’s activity area is $5 per child in addition to regular Zoo admission.

Visitors can hop aboard a hayride for $1 per person and enjoy the sights at the front of the Zoo.  Polish sausage, bratwurst, apple strudel, caramel apples, beer and soft drinks are available for purchase.
