Canine Capers Event At Macomb County Library Print E-mail

Metro Detroit Entertainment NewsClinton Twp., MI - Children ages 5 to 12 will learn how to teach their dog new tricks and also get pet safety tips at the Canine Capers event at the Macomb County Library.

Dog trainer Chris Kloski will present this free, interactive program with her friendly pets at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2. Canine Capers is open to the public, but registration is required. For reservations or more information, call the Macomb County Library at 586-286-6660. People should not bring pets to this program.

Kloski belonged to a dog obedience training club for 20 years and served as a teacher, secretary, treasurer and president. She is a member of the Dog Scouts of America and a member of their core staff at training camps. Her dogs have won many awards in various competitions and she involves them in programs with libraries, the Boy Scouts and nursing homes.

The Macomb County Library is located at 16480 Hall Road near Garfield. The library is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday from September through May.
